My bathroom is super small (city living, am I right?) but that doesn’t mean it can’t be luxurious. I’m going to teach you how to make the most of your space and create a stylish area that you’ll love spending time in.

1. Add a Big Mirror (Or Two)

When it comes to mirrors, bigger is always better. If you’ve ever so much as picked up an interior design magazine you’ll know that mirrors add light to a room and make it appear bigger, so a large mirror is an absolute must for a stylish bathroom. And why stop at one? Why not have a full-length wall mirror as well as one above the sink? 

2. Go Monochrome 

A monochrome color scheme is one of the easiest ways to achieve a sleek and stylish bathroom. Monochrome is timeless, and better still, it makes picking out the rest of your accessories much easier. If you’re not a born interior designer, definitely consider going monochrome. 

3.  Toiletry Dispensers 

Transferring your liquid toiletries into dispensers is a great way to create a stylish look. It helps you to achieve a uniform color scheme, even as you switch up your products. Trust me, these small changes go a long way. 

To save on space, why not consider wall-mounted dispensers for your in-shower products, such as shampoo and conditioner? 

4. Ombre Paint 

Personally, I’m all for monochrome but if you need a little more  variety in your life, why not try painting your bathroom ombre? You don’t have to do all four walls – just a single statement ombre wall could look really amazing and give your space a relaxing, dreamy feel. 

5. Add a Ladder Shelf 

Smart storage helps to transform your bathroom. If you’re short on space, store up, not out. A bathroom ladder is a great space-saving solution that helps you to declutter your bathroom and stay on-trend. What’s not to like?

6. House Plants 

Studies show that house plants have mood-boosting benefits, and who am I to argue? Houseplants add a breath of fresh air to your bathroom, but make sure that you choose ones that thrive in humidity. Tropical plants like Bird’s Nest Fern, Aloe Vera and Gardenia are good choices for your bathroom.

Storing items like cotton pads, floss sticks and bath salts in apothecary-style jars really adds elegance to your bathroom. In fact, you could even add pinecones or potpourri for a little extra charm. 

10. Bath Caddy 

I don’t actually have a bath, but if I did, the first thing I’d do would be to buy a bath caddy. Also known as bath bridges, these items are super stylish and are an easy way to create a luxurious vibe. You can use your caddy to hold products, flowers, snacks, candles or even a book as you soak. What could be better?

11. Storage Stool 

If you don’t like the idea of a bath caddy, why not try placing a storage stool next to your bath? That way, you’ll have a fresh towel and your toiletries within easy reach of the tub. 

12. Replace Your Taps 

Refitting a bathroom is expensive and time-consuming, but it’s actually pretty cheap and easy to replace your taps. Shiny new chrome taps always look good, but why not go for bronze or even black ones if you’re feeling adventurous? 

13. Candles 

Well, duh. Not only do candles make great decorative pieces, they smell wonderful and can create a relaxing atmosphere as you take a long soak in the bath or pamper yourself with a DIY facial. 

14. Toothbrush Holder
