Qatar Airways is my favorite business class airline and I’ve been eager to try their Q-Suites experience since they first launched in 2017. The Q-Suite takes business class travel to a new level and I’m excited to share my review with you. Qatar Airways was already my favorite business class airline, but the Q-Suite really took it up a notch.
The stars finally aligned for me to try the Q-Suite experience on my recent girls’ trip to the Maldives. As soon I stepped on the plane and got a glimpse of the spacious Q-Suites I knew that this was going to be an extra special flight.
I was greeted with a glass of rose champagne and a very generous amenity kit, which included Castello Monte Vibiano toiletries and noise cancelling headphones. The latter was a particularly well-thought out touch because the Q-Suites are so comfortable that you can safely expect many of your fellow passengers to be snoring throughout the flight.
Staying organised whilst travelling is very important to me. I always feel anxious when my belongings are scattered all over the plane. Whilst the Q-Suites had slightly less storage space than I’m used to when flying business class, I loved that I was able to comfortably store all of my possessions right next to my bed. I hate getting up and rummaging in the overhead locker during a flight!
There were three shelves: a main dinner tray table, a cocktail table and an amenity shelf below. This means you can safely enjoy your dinner and use your laptop at the same time without living in fear of spillages.
I’m a huge fan of Middle Eastern cuisine and so the Q-Suites food was a real treat for me. Guests with Q-Suites have access to a dine-on-demand menu, so you can eat when you’re hungry rather than at scheduled times. In addition to the four-course meals, there are also many lighter options if you indulged at the lounge prior to take off, as well as a selection of snack platters. You can even choose an afternoon tea plate, which I love since I grew up in the Bahamas. The Q-Suites food really is restaurant quality and I was highly impressed. Best of all, each passenger receives a departure gift of Godiva chocolates!
There’s also an excellent wine list which includes options such as Lanson and Laurent Perrier. The rose champagne was a real winner for me. On the soft drinks menu, Qatar Airways signature Lemon Mint juice is the perfect, healthy way to refresh mid-flight.
Q-Suites offer passengers the chance to sleep on a fully flat bed during the flight. You’ll be sure to arrive at your destination feeling well-rested. Better still, you can combine your bed with up to three other passengers to make a giant slumber party! This is a great option for groups of friends or families travelling together.
At night, each passenger received a package containing luxurious White Company pyjamas and slippers. If you’ve read my guide to the best loungewear, you’ll know that I absolutely love this brand.
I slept for almost the entire flight, which I actually felt a little guilty for. I had planned to savour the experience a little more. But what can I say? The Q-Suites were just too comfy. Besides, it was a very long journey from Miami to the Maldives. Getting a large amount of shut-eye on the plane really reduced my jet-lag. It allowed me to enjoy the first few days of my trip without feeling like a zombie.
I loved every second of my Q-Suites experience. It simply cemented Qatar Airways status as my favorite business class airline. This truly is a luxurious experience and one that I cannot wait to repeat.
