Marina Bay Sands

Let’s start with the creme de la creme of Singapore luxury hotels: the iconic Marina Bay Sands. Marina Bay Sands is where the young and the beautiful head after hours for classy cocktails, fine dining and gambling. The glamorous casino features one of the world’s largest Swarovski crystal chandeliers, which makes it worth a visit even if the slots aren’t your thing. The hotel is also home to a 57th floor observation deck and a jaw-dropping infinity pool, both of which offer spectacular views of the city.

Raffles

There’s a real sense of nostalgia at the legendary Raffles hotel. It’s been a Singaporean icon ever since it opened its doors in 1887 and shows no signs of slowing down. Many famous faces have visited Raffles over the years; in fact, 12 of the suites are named after legendary guests like Charlie Chaplin and John Wayne. If you like history, old-school glamor and colonial architecture, Raffles is the hotel for you.

Shangri-La

Singapore is hardly a stressful city to spend time in – it runs like a well-oiled machine. However, the maiden Shangri-La hotel still manages to feel like a tropical oasis with its beautifully manicured gardens and utopian architecture. If you want to rest, relax and switch off in Singapore, I’d recommend staying here.

The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore

This hotel has all the style and elegance you’d expect from a Ritz Carlton property, as well as sweeping views of the Marina Bay. The hotel offers an amazing eight-course afternoon tea, which takes you on a Michelin-starred culinary tour of Singapore. It’s also home to a La Mer spa, where you can receive a wide range of indulgent treatments including a legendary La Mer Miracle Broth facial.

Mandarin Oriental

What I love about Mandarin Oriental hotels is the nostalgic class and charm they exude, and the Singapore branch is no exception. This property is in a fantastic location overlooking the Marina Bay and the floor-to-ceiling windows in each room ensure that you’ll get to make the most of it. The Mandarin is home to the high rise MO BAR and the poolside Dolce Vita Italian restaurant.

Capella

Capella is the perfect Singapore luxury hotel for families. It’s a gorgeous, colonial-style property on Sentosa, Singapore’s ‘Island of Fun’ where you’ll find plenty of theme parks and adventure activities.

Tucked away in the island’s rainforest, Capella is easily one of the best luxury hotels on Sentosa for families. It’s also just a 15 minute walk from Universal Studios and Kidzania, so those in Singapore for theme park fun should definitely consider staying at this luxe resort.

Four Seasons

I love the Four Seasons – who doesn’t? Located on Orchard Road, the Singaporean Four Seasons hotel is classy, comfortable and home to a fantastic selection of restaurants, such as the delightful One-Ninety brasserie and the Michelin-starred Jiang-Nan Chun Cantonese restaurant.

St. Regis

The St. Regis Singapore is decorated in a lavish, classical European style and boasts a premier art gallery with an impressive collection. It’s hard not to feel cultured when you stay here – especially when you add in a visit to the Remede spa, gourmet Cantonese dining at Yan Ting restaurant and a wonderful afternoon tea at The Drawing Room.

Fullerton

You’ll know you’ve arrived somewhere special the second you pull up in front of the stately Fullerton Hotel. The building is classed as a national monument, and has served as the city’s central post office, an exclusive social club and a government building during its 90-year history. For those interested in Singapore’s heritage, this is an excellent choice of hotel.

It’s located in the heart of the city, steps away from the boat quay, and 50% of the rooms have views of the Marina Bay Sands. The rooms are comfortable and elegant, and the service is nothing short of wonderful.

Andaz Singapore

Lastly, we have Andaz Singapore, a glossy hotel located in the honeycomb-patterned Duo towers. The facilities here are first-rate and there’s even a 24 hour fitness centre, in case you fancy a 3am workout. The rooms are sleek and modern, yet warm and cosy. The hotel is also home to the Mr Stork rooftop bar, which is one of my favorite bars in Singapore thanks to its landscaped gardens and romantic teepees.
