A MODERN GUIDE TO LIVING YOUR LIFE WELL

Review of Lebua Tower Club in Bangkok, Thailand

Review of Lebua Tower Club in Bangkok, Thailand

With its heat, noise and manic energy, the city of Bangkok is an exciting, if exhausting, destination. It’s a city of incredible contrast, with temples and palaces representing Thailand’s rich heritage alongside gleaming skyscrapers that firmly label Bangkok as a thriving modern city. I loved my short but sweet stay in the lively Thai capital and I had the pleasure of staying in one of its most iconic hotels: Lebua Tower Club.

This glamorous property had a lot to live up to. In fact, it claims to be “the world’s first vertical destination,” promising that guests will never need to leave. But does it measure up to such a bold statement? Read on to find out…

Introducing Lebua Tower Club

Lebua Tower Club is one of two luxury hotels inside the Lebua State Tower. Lebua at State Tower occupies the 21st-25th floors of the building, whilst the Tower Club can be found higher up between the 51st-59th floors. It’s sky-high address means that guests enjoy incredible city views throughout their stays – don’t even get me started on those Bangkok sunsets. The city is pretty polluted, which is a shame, but for some reason that creates the most stunning sunsets. Don’t ask me how it works!

My Suite

I received a warm welcome to the Lebua Tower Club, with a plate of fresh mango and sticky rice and a welcome cocktail. When I was escorted to my suite, my first reaction was “wow.”

The first thing that struck me was the sheer size of my two bedroom suite. With two bedrooms, three bathrooms, three balconies, a living and dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, I had all the space I could ever need – and more.

The decor was stylish and modern with warm-neutral tones and a couple of romantic touches, such as a chandelier and gift of red roses from the hotel. I particularly loved the curved sofa by the large windows so that I could sit and soak in those panoramic city views from the comfort of the living room. Between that and the suite’s three spacious balconies, I had my pick of places to gaze at Bangkok’s impressive cityscape.

Food & Drink

My stay in Bangkok was short but sweet, so I didn’t have time to sample all of the five restaurants and bars at Lebua, but you better believe that I made a beeline for Pink, the Tower Club’s glamorous 1950s-inspired champagne bar. With its gorgeous boutique decor and expertly crafted cocktails, it’s an absolute dream come true for any girly girl!

There was also live music at Pink and I was even serenaded, which was a first for me! There was such a fun and lighthearted atmosphere in this beautiful bar and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever visited. Even if you don’t end up staying at the Tower Club, I highly recommend making the trip up to the 61st for a glass of sparkling rose.

I also had the pleasure of dining at Sirocco, the hotel’s under-the-stars restaurant. In fact, I was treated to a seven course chef’s table dinner – I thought I was going to explode! I also got to meet Vincent Thierry, the head chef at Chef’s Table, Lebua’s triple Michelin starred restaurant. He was really interesting to talk to and passionate about his craft – which I suppose you’d expect from a man bestowed with such an honor.

The hotel also features the No3 bar, which specialises in gin, caviar and vodka. If I’d had more time, I would have liked to pay a visit but to be honest, sipping rose champagne at Pink Bar was more than enough to make me happy.

Final Thoughts

Since I live in a big and exciting city, I tend to gravitate towards properties in quiet locations with a lot of natural beauty, or with a big focus upon wellness. However, Lebua Tower Club reminded me exactly why I live in a big city most of the time! It’s a fun, sophisticated and urban hotel that will make you fall head over heels in love with the city of Bangkok.
