A MODERN GUIDE TO LIVING YOUR LIFE WELL

Review of Jumeirah Vittaveli Maldives

Review of Jumeirah Vittaveli

If you love sleek, modern properties where every last detail has been meticulously taken care of, then it doesn’t get better than Jumeirah Vittaveli Maldives. I had the pleasure of staying at this resort and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

First Impressions

The best feature of our overwater villa – if I absolutely had to pick one – was the glass window underneath the living room table. It meant that we could see directly into the ocean below whilst we relaxed in our lounge, which was the kind of amazing experience you can only get at an uber-luxurious resort in The Maldives

One morning we enjoyed a gorgeous outdoor breakfast right next to the infinity pool on our private deck. It was a beautiful set up and although there was far too much food for two people, we certainly weren’t complaining and gave it our best shot.

Food and Drink

In fact, all the food we had at Jumeirah Vittaveli was excellent and the artistic plating really made it extra special. One night we had a candlelit dinner on the beach and the staff really went above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing evening. The thoughtful service truly is one of the best aspects of this resort.

My favorite restaurant was Swarna, a beachy Indian restaurant. I love spicy, flavoursome food and Swarna didn’t disappoint with its rich curries and fragrant dishes. The Maharaja-style garden with its private cabanas really impressed me.

Activities and Entertainment

As well as an awesome fire show on the beach that had me gasping every five seconds and a glorious sunset dolphin cruise, one of my favorite experiences at Jumeirah Vittaveli was ice skating. It certainly wasn’t what I was expecting from a beach resort in The Maldives but this property has an ice rink right on the beach. Ice skating in my bikini was a surreal experience but it was so much fun!

When our stay came to an end, we got to travel to the seaplane in a super cool James Bond style speedboat. We definitely didn’t want to leave Jumeirah Vittaveli but since we did have to, it was quite a way to go out!

A huge thank you to Tina and the entire team at Jumeirah Vittaveli who made our trip so special – we’ll never forget it.
