For travelers looking to blow off some steam, there’s no better city to head to than Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s a fun and glamorous destination with a myriad of beautiful luxury hotels to enjoy. Vegas’ flamboyant resorts are integral to the character of the city, and many of them are tourist destinations in their own right. If you’re planning a trip to Vegas, keep reading to discover the most lavish hotels Sin City has to offer. 

The Wynn 

The Wynn is easily one of the most beautiful hotels in Las Vegas. The curved, mirrored building is one of the strip’s most striking figures. Inside, the decor is palatial, but a touch more sophisticated than some of the more elaborate themed resorts in town. 

Meanwhile, high-end designer brands such as Chanel, Balmain and Stella McCartney are on offer at the Wynn Plaza Shops. World-class treatments are available at the lavish spa and as you’d expect, the resort also features a state-of-the-art fitness centre. As for dining, the Wynn’s brunch is one of the most celebrated in the city. 

The Bellagio 

The Bellagio is one of Las Vegas’ most iconic and easily recognisable hotels. The world-famous water fountain show happens every 30 minutes at the front of the property. Meanwhile, the facade is regal and rather imposing, and the neoclassical Roman interior is as lavish as you’d expect. The pool area is one of my favorites in Vegas; there are five pools with pretty mosaic flooring and plenty of luxe VIP cabanas and day beds. 

There are some amazing restaurants at the Bellagio. The best of the bunch is Picasso, where you can enjoy gourmet cuisine as you marvel at the artist’s original works. Meanwhile, Cirque Du Soleil’s acclaimed ‘O’ show is hosted in the hotel’s theatre. There’s also top-tier shopping available, including Prada, Valentino and Hermes stores, to name a few.

The Cosmopolitan 

Modernity is what sets the Cosmopolitan apart. This is one of the most beautiful hotels in Las Vegas and it definitely caters to the millennial crowd. Unlike many other resorts, it’s all about contemporary style rather than classical glitz and glamor at the Cosmopolitan. But don’t get me wrong, this property still boasts plenty of pizzazz. I mean, there’s a cocktail bar inside of a giant chandelier. 

The decor here is sleek and luxe, with spacious, trendy rooms and lots of classy touches. I’d definitely recommend checking out the Wicked Spoon brunch buffet; it’s upscale yet affordable, with so much delicious food that you’ll have to roll back to your room. 

The Venetian 

If you want to go all out and stay at an over-the-top extravagant hotel, the Venetian is for you. It has to be one of the most flamboyant hotels in the world. 

What surprised me about this resort was just how convincing it was. Even the sky-painted ceilings indoors had me questioning whether I was inside or outside. Perhaps best of all, you can take a gondola ride along the artificial river as gondolier serenades you. It’s just the kind of crazy experience you come to Vegas for. 

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plush purple and grey furniture, finest Egyptian cotton sheets and marble bathrooms. 

The Mirage 

The Mirage was the first of the Vegas mega-resorts. In addition to rooms and suites, it features luxurious private villas, each with their own pool and garden. 

If you’d like to come back from Las Vegas looking refreshed, the resort houses a Kalologie Medspa. You can even opt for an IV Therapy drip if you’ve been partying a bit too hard. The resort also boasts a beautiful, tropical-themed pool, a cigar lounge and a selection of great restaurants.

 

Caesars Palace

This resort will probably always be known as “the hotel from The Hangover.” However, Caesars Palace earned its status as a Las Vegas icon way before that film was shot. Like the Venetian, the Roman-themed resort is perfect for those who want to experience the pinnacle of Vegas’ grandiosity. Whether you want to dine at Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant, party at the lavish Omnia nightclub or treat yourself at the Forum Shops, you’ll definitely find a suitable way to indulge at Caesars Palace.

Waldorf Astoria

The Waldorf Astoria is not your typical Las Vegas property. It doesn’t have an in-house casino or club, and its elegant design is a far cry from many of the city’s more theatrical resorts. It’s the perfect choice for a luxury traveler who wants to visit Vegas without staying in the midst of all the chaos. Las Vegas is great fun but if, like me, you’re not a huge party person, it’s nice to stay somewhere quieter.

You can opt for a sumptuous Strip or City view room; the former is a window to all of the action, whilst the latter offers views of the mountain landscape beyond the city limits. For even better views, head to the Skybar. You can marvel at the neon lights below as you sip on cocktails inspired by the history of Nevada.
