A MODERN GUIDE TO LIVING YOUR LIFE WELL

10 Reasons Why Everyone Should Visit The Maldives At Least Once

I’ve never made any secret of the fact that The Maldives is my favorite place on Earth. It’s complete and utter paradise, and I firmly believe that it’s for everyone. Here are ten amazing reasons why everyone should visit The Maldives at least once in their lifetime…

10 Reasons Why Everyone Should Visit The Maldives At Least Once

1) Natural Beauty

Let’s start with the obvious: The Maldives is absolutely stunning. The country consists of 1190 beautiful islands which feature palm trees, pristine white beaches and crystal clear waters.

I don’t know about you, but I hate going to a gorgeous destination only to see it ruined by trash and debris. However, this is not the case in The Maldives. Despite the many resorts, the beaches are beautifully clean and the seas are wonderfully clear.

2) Seaplane Rides

Gazing at The Maldives’ many islands from high above as I soar over on a seaplane is always a special experience that brings me joy. A seaplane ride is a quintessential part of any Maldives trip and although it can be a bit of a thrill ride if it’s your first time, it’s an amazing experience and the views are out of this world.

3) Stunning Resorts

The Maldives is home to some of the most gorgeous and luxurious resorts in the entire world. Of course, even a tent on the beach would look pretty against a Maldivian beach backdrop, but the country’s luxury resorts really are something else. I could probably wax lyrical about this all day but a picture is worth a thousand words, so take a look:

4) Marine Life

The Maldives boasts incredible biodiversity and the marine life is nothing short of spectacular. Whether you want to snorkel, dive or swim with manta rays, you will be able to do so in the magnificent Maldives. Many luxury resorts also have an in-house marine biologist who can teach you all about the marine life in your chosen atoll and help you get the most out of the experience.

5) Spas

The Maldives is an incredible spa destination where you’ll find world-class treatments. Many resorts also offer the chance to enjoy a pampering session in a stunning overwater villa. For more on that, check out this guide to the best spa resorts in The Maldives.

6) Watersports

From sailing and fishing to jet skiing and surfing, The Maldives has plenty to offer water sports fans. I mean, the country is 99% water so you would expect nothing less! Many resorts offer non-motorised water sports as complimentary activities, so take advantage and try something new. I had one of the best adventures of my life when I swam with manta rays at the all-inclusive Pullman resort last year.

7) It’s for Everyone

There’s a common misconception that The Maldives is strictly a romantic or honeymoon destination and whilst it is admittedly amazing for that, I strongly believe that The Maldives is for everyone.

I took a girls’ trip to The Maldives last year and we had the best time. In fact, I’ve taken several trips there with friends and I’ve loved it every single time. There are also plenty of families who travel to The Maldives.

8) Activities

There is so much to do in The Maldives. I’ve often been asked “don’t you get bored there?” and the answer is always a firm “no!”

For anyone who leads a busy life, a trip to The Maldives is the perfect chance to kick back and relax. You simply lay by the pool all day if you want to, but there are also plenty of fun activities on offer.

I’ve already mentioned spas and watersports above but there are tours of local islands, cooking classes, wine tastings and sunset dolphin cruises. Yes, the pace is slow but there is definitely plenty to do.

9) Overwater Villas

The overwater villas are an iconic part of Maldives travel and staying in this style of accomodation truly is a very special experience. Who wouldn’t want to wake up to beautiful ocean views each morning? Who doesn’t love swimming in an infinity pool perched over the sea?

I love the beach villas too, of course, but there’s something so unique about an overwater villa stay that you just can’t get in many other places.

10) Amazing Content

If you’re a content creator like me, a trip to The Maldives is an absolute must.

The visual content I create when I travel to The Maldives always performs exceptionally well. It’s the most beautiful place on Earth, so there’s really no better destination to create eye-catching content.

This is why I have chosen The Maldives as the destination for my luxury group tour at the end of 2021. I have partnered with industry experts to teach attendees how to work with brands and travel the world, although I have been careful to include plenty of time to relax and enjoy this amazing destination, too.
