I’m so excited to share this review of the Ocean Club Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas, because it really was a special trip for me. I’m from the Bahamas so a chance to visit the island I grew up on, eat all the foods I enjoyed as a child and hear the accent I used to have myself was such a wonderful experience. What made the experience ten times better was that my grandma joined me on the trip! I’m very close to her and she has undoubtedly shaped me into the person I am today – I’m certain I get my love of travel from her.

First Impressions

The Ocean Club is a timeless and elegant property imbued with understated sophistication. It really taps into the old world elegance of the Bahamas, with its beautiful colonial architecture and effortless sense of style. 

The property runs the width of Paradise Island, and even features romantic cloisters which would be perfect for a gorgeous island wedding. There are three beautiful pools where you can bask in the Bahamian sun and, of course, pristine Bahamian beaches that make your jaw-drop. 

What I love about Four Seasons properties is how well they tap into the character of each location, and the Ocean Club is no exception. I was so happy to be greeted with a glass of Bahamian Switcha when I arrived, which is a sugary lemon-lime drink I used to love as a child! 

Once we got to the room, my grandma and I enjoyed complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries as we soaked in the beautiful Bahamian views. It was a perfect start to our weekend.

Service 

One of my favorite things about this property was the butler service, which included luggage packing and unpacking, tours, daily deliveries of champagne and strawberries (or milk and cookies for kids) and laundry pressing. The service covered everything to make your stay both memorable and convenient. When we came back from dinner we each received a cute little cake from the Ocean Club and a sweet personal letter. My grandma and I felt very well cared for at the Ocean Club Four Seasons. 

Spa 

If you know me then you know I just can’t visit a property without paying a visit to the spa! It’s what luxury vacations are for. I enjoyed a Bahamian rhythm spa treatment, which is a deep tissue massage with percussive movements. It was great to have such a unique treatment and it was so relaxing that I fell asleep, and woke up feeling reborn! 

Afterwards, I got into a soothing milk bath with hibiscus flowers, which really was the ultimate pampering experience. If you need to relax and renew, the Ocean Club Four Seasons truly is the perfect place to do it. 

Final Thoughts 

The Bahamas is incredibly close to my heart and I was happy to find that the Ocean Club Four Seasons paid homage to my heritage. I had an amazing weekend with my grandma and although we were sad to leave, I really will cherish the memories of this trip together for years to come.
