Whether you’re a fully-fledged vegan or just trying to cut down your meat consumption, it’s always fun to try out plant-based restaurants. Personally, I do eat meat but I still enjoy vegetarian and vegan cuisine. In fact, I often cut out meat during a detox as there are so many health benefits to doing so, including reduced cholesterol. I’ve put together this list of the best plant-based restaurants in Miami so that you have plenty of dinner options for Meat Free Monday!

What do vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters have in common?
We all love tacos. Duh.
Charly’s tacos are so good that you might not even realise they’re meat free if the restaurant didn’t have the word “vegan” in its name. This place replicates the texture and flavor of meat very well indeed. The pulled pork-style jackfruit tacos are especially good. If all vegan food was this good, I’m pretty sure a lot more of us would be making the switch.
Yes, the name sounds like a cheesy wall sign but don’t let that put you off dining at the Love Life Cafe. This multi-award winning spot serves up fresh, healthy and delicious plant-based food in a cute, Insta-worthy setting.
If you’re here for breakfast, you’ve got to try the avocado toast (what else?) with the sweet potato herb fries. For lunch or dinner, try their burger that was actually voted “best veggie burger in America” a few years back and see for yourself whether you think it’s worthy of the title! Or if you’re in the mood for Mexican, their Cuban burrito is also really good.
Love Life Cafe is a socially and environmentally responsible establishment that works to eliminate waste and support the local community. Notably, they support Riverside House, a halfway house that works to rehabilitate ex-prisoners and help them transition into responsible and productive members of society.
Even the most salad-averse among us aren’t immune to the deliciousness of Della Bowls. These vegan mix-and-match bowls have taken Miami’s health-conscious community by storm and they’ve even opened a spot in California, too.
Everything at Della is free from gluten, peanuts and refined-sugar, as well as 100% plant-based. They’re also committed to sourcing their ingredients responsibly, and locally whenever possible. Della Bowls are hearty, healthy and are the perfect plant-based fuel with which to nourish your body.
Greenlife’s menu reads like a millennial plant-based dream. The menu may be small, but that’s a hallmark of freshness and quality. I’m personally very partial to the coconut chia parfait and I definitely recommend that you try one of their invigorating ginger, turmeric and lime shots. It’s the perfect morning pick-me-up.
I mentioned Pura Vida in my wellness guide to Miami and it’s so good that I can’t help but mention it again! This spot was designed with wellness and inclusivity in mind, so the food is fresh, healthy and detox-friendly. It serves up wholesome Insta-friendly food that tastes as good as it looks!
This excellent juice and smoothie bar serves up some seriously addictive vegan drinks. It’s got a cool, boho vibe and also serves up some excellent plant-based snacks, such as the yummy spice kale melt. I definitely recommend that you try a turmeric milk latte – turmeric is my superfood of choice and I can’t get enough.
Who knew vegan cakes and desserts could be this good? This cute spot proves that a plant-based diet isn’t just about tofu and superfood salads. You can even order photo cookies or fancy fondant cakes, which I think would make the perfect birthday treat for a vegan loved one!
