We’ve all been spending A LOT more time at home recently, which has led to a boom in the popularity of loungewear. Why wear jeans when you’re working from home when you could be luxuriating in your comfy clothes? Best of all, loungewear doesn’t have to be frumpy or boring. There are plenty of wonderful luxury loungewear brands out there that offer stylish and sophisticated pieces to that you can be both classy and comfortable. Let’s take a look at the best luxury loungewear brands around.
Minimalists will love Skin and its concept of relaxed sophistication. Skin uses organic cotton and super soft natural fabrics that feel like… well, a second skin. The soothing neutral colors and graceful silhouettes of Skin’s products offer wearers an enviable, uncomplicated elegance that I can’t get enough of. The Maddie pyjama trousers, Selena bodysuit and Marissa cardigan are among my favorite pieces.
Boho luxe fashion brand Free People makes some of the best luxury loungewear on the market. Their pretty, whimsical pieces work perfectly in or out of the house and ensure you’ll stay stylish 24/7. I love the simple sophistication of their Around the Clock joggers, whilst the fun, floral and floaty Wake Up Pants are perfect for lazy summer mornings. My favourite, though, is the Shiny Nights Pajama set. These luxurious, silky PJs are an absolute classic. You could even pair the shirt with jeans and heels and wear it out to dinner for a super-chic look.
For me, the best loungewear pieces are simple and elegant, which is why I love The White Company so much. Loungewear is all about cosy, lowkey style, and that’s exactly what this luxury lifestyle brand delivers. Their cashmere joggers and hoodies allow you to look effortlessly classy as you lounge around the house, and ensure the ultimate comfort at the same time.
Australian designer Suzie Kondi pretty-much single handedly made velour cool again. I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry: her tasteful loungewear pieces are a far cry from the Juicy tracksuits of the early 2000s. Her pieces are flattering and versatile; they’re comfy enough to wear around the house and pretty enough for drinks with friends. In fact, Kondi says that her mantra is “don’t change for anyone.” As a busy mother, she wanted something that she could throw on in the morning and feel good in all day long. A few simple accessories would be enough to dress this magenta jumpsuit up for a night out. Alternatively, you could add chunky sneakers for a cool streetwear look. I’m also a big fan of Suzie Kondi’s cashmere sweaters and track pants, which are super elegant and cosy at the same time.
Fleur Du Mal offers luxury loungewear and lingerie designed to make women feel feminine and powerful. I’m in love with their piped pajama pants. They resemble smart tailoring so much that you could definitely wear them out for dinner with some nice heels. They’re wonderfully loose and comfortable, yet so silky and gorgeous that you can’t help but feel glamorous. Their silk kimonos, meanwhile, are perfect to throw on for an easy at-home elegance. Without a doubt, their super soft cashmere robe will be a firm favorite of mine for years to come.
