I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the Maldives is paradise. And in paradise, there’s always a spa. Every luxury resort in the Maldives worth its salt has an in-house spa but of course, they weren’t all created equal. If pampering is at the top of your list of things to do in the Maldives, then look no further. I’ve selected the most luxurious spas in the Maldives so that you can enjoy the ultimate relaxing getaway. 

Iridium Spa – St. Regis Vommuli Resort 

One of the coolest things about the Iridium spa at the St. Regis Vommuli is that it’s shaped like a giant lobster, with the six overwater treatment villas acting as the claws. One of the best parts of visiting a spa in The Maldives is the gorgeous sea views and here you can enjoy them from the deluxe bubble bath on your private terrace. Oh, and be sure to make use of the hydrotherapy pool, which is one of the largest in the Maldives.

The spa offers each guest a 15-minute Ayurveda consultation to ensure your wellness needs are met. There are some truly fabulous packages available at Iridium. My favorite is the Caviar Journey which uses caviar to revitalize the skin and finishes with a glass of champagne in a decadent lavender-scented bath. 

The Iridium spa also includes an excellent salon where you can enjoy therapeutic manicures and pedicures or get your hair done ready for dinner on the beach. 

Pullman Spa by Phytomer – Pullman Maldives Maamutaa

The overwater Phytomer spa at Pullman Maamutaa promotes the unity between body, mind and spirit. Phytomer is a marine-inspired French brand that uses high-performance ocean ingredients to transform your skin. If you’d like to turn back the clock, opt for the Pioneer facial treatment. It claims to deliver younger looking skin within the hour. And of course, one of the many massages on offer will help you recover from jet lag in double quick time. 

The Phytomer spa caters not just to couples, but to families. Children can enjoy manicures or chocolate massages whilst their parents pamper themselves, which is a really thoughtful touch. 

ESPA Spa – One&Only Reethi Rah 

Only&Only Reethi Rah is one of the best luxury wellness resorts in the Maldives and its in-house ESPA Spa will leave you glowing. With crystal steam rooms, overwater treatments villas and gorgeous tropical gardens, this spa is every inch a sanctuary. ESPA is a brand that marries natural and science-based skin care, with excellent results. 

On a visit to the ESPA spa, I highly recommend a warm oil abhyanga massage or a shirodhara, which is a neck and shoulder treatment. These treatments will be tailored to you based on your specific dosha type. When you’re at one of the most luxurious spas in the Maldives, you may as well opt for a personalized treatment. 

Guerlain Spa – Cheval Blanc Randheli 

The Cheval Blanc Randheli is one of the most exclusive resorts in the Maldives. Guerlain, meanwhile, is one of the most upmarket cosmetics brands out there. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that two partnered up to grace us with one of the most luxurious spas in the Maldives. 

For one thing, the Guerlain spa occupies its own private island to ensure absolute serenity. The only sounds you’ll hear as you enjoy your treatments are the gentle waves lapping the shore. Treatments here use luxurious Guerlain products, of course, and are specific to Maldives travel. For example, you can indulge in an after-diving treatment to help you rest and recover after a day in the water. Alternatively, you can opt for Sun Ritual to restore your skin if you stayed in the sun a little too long.
