The St. Regis Bora Bora

You’ll have to keep on pinching yourself during your stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora. The resort stretches over 44 acres of tropical landscape with views of the mighty Mount Outemanu in the distance. Trust me, these beachfront and overwater villas provide you with the ultimate Bora Bora luxury experience. Each one is tastefully decorated with hand-carved French Polynesian sculptures and displays of local art. I especially adore the glass coffee tables in each lounge. They provide a window to the lagoon below and all of its spectacular marine life.

In addition to swimming in the private pools and lagoon, you can also soak up the sun at either of the two resort pools, one of one of which has a swim-up bar. You can also indulge at the Miri Miri Spa by Clarins and enjoy snorkelling in the property’s private lagoonarium.

The Four Seasons Bora Bora

The Four Seasons resort includes 7 beachfront villas and 100 overwater bungalows. The latter allows you to step off of your private deck and plunge straight into Bora Bora’s turquoise lagoon. Polynesian-inspired decor gives the bungalows a light, airy feel with a twist of local character. Meanwhile, the sight of lush green Mount Outemanu in the distance adds even more beauty.

In terms of activities, guests at the Four Seasons can enjoy a snorkelling tour led by the resort’s resident marine biologist, or canoe to an islet for a romantic dinner. There’s also a sumptuous spa with floor windows so you can marvel at the lagoon as you enjoy your treatment.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui

The Conrad has everything you could want from a luxury French Polynesian resort: 84 overwater suites, panoramic ocean views, 24 hour room service, king-sized beds and even a hilltop chapel should you decide to tie the knot in this incredibly romantic setting. The resort is located in an idyllic private cove on the Motu To’opua islet and seamlessly blends local Tahitian culture with world-class service.

Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa

What sets the Intercontinental apart is its fantastic facilities. From the jaw-dropping glass-bottomed wedding chapel to the enormous overwater infinity pool, everything here is first-rate. I especially love the glass-walled fitness centre; that way, you can get a workout in without missing a moment of those spectacular Bora Bora views.

And as for the Deep Ocean Spa, well, it’s an award-winning seawater therapy centre which uses deep-sea nutrients and ancient Polynesian healing techniques to restore balance to the body. It really is a sensational experience and one that I highly recommend.

Sofitel Private Island Bora Bora

Does it really get much more exclusive than a resort on a private island? There are just 31 guest rooms at the Sofitel Private Island, so you’ll enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. However, if you do feel like socializing you can always head to the beachfront bar for live entertainment, or attend themed cuisine nights at the Manu Tuki restaurant.

It’s tempting to laze the days away in the resort’s tropical gardens and infinity pool, but I highly recommend taking advantage of all the exciting activities on offer, such as snorkelling, kayaking and, best of all, jet-skiing.
